It's a sad state of our society that causes this to be true. There are potentially exceptions, although we never really will know. It usually is exposed in the years after a politician has been in office. There are some excellent investigative reporters, who will through honest means get the true story about a politician's storytelling career. There's a great episode in Netflix's Dirty Money Season 2 Documentary. The episode is called The man at the Top who continues to deny his ways of corruption in government. Well worth a watch if you haven't already seen it. And so we all take a big sigh and wonder, where in society did it all go so wrong. The worst thing is many of these politicians profess to be highly religious and go to church regularly too!
